5 tips for photographing your baby

1. Sleeping babies are easiest to photograph, but if you want them awake make sure they are well rested and fed. Happy babies make the best subjects!

2. If possible it is best to photograph your baby on a solid colored blanket. Patterns can be distracting.

3. The best way to photograph your baby? Keep it simple. Babies look their best in their birthday suits, solid patterns or just a plain, white diaper.

4. If you are taking a picture of your baby outside, natural light is the best. The hour before sunset makes for the prettiest pictures.

5. To take the best photos, keep the focus on your baby and zoom in close. Don't forget to take photos of their cute little hands, feet, ears and lips!

We had the great pleasure of working with Scott Wolf and his lovely wife, Kelley and their gorgeous little baby boy, Jackson Kayse. People's Celebrity Babies featured the announcements we designed for them. Again, working with photographer Joy Harmon Prouty of WildFlowers Photography, we created an organic birth announcement for their sweet little family. You might know Scott Wolf from Party of Five, Everwood and his new hit tv show V, which airs Tuesday nights at 8pm on ABC. Kelley was on MTV's The Real World: New Orleans. They beautiful couple married in 2004 and earlier this year in March 2009, baby Jackson was born. Nesting Shoppe has worked with their family to design their announcements, return labels, thank you cards and custom invitations. Meghan Daly is an up and coming, sought-after illustrator who we have teamed up with to introduce a new line of greeting cards. Nesting Shoppe was chosen to design and create Holiday Cards for Celebrity Trista Sutter, from ABC's The Bachelorette. We also did custom stationery and coordinating return labels for the family. We are currently working on her baby shower inviations for her newest arrival, baby girl Sutter. Trista is such a sweet person and we have really enjoyed working with her and look forward to designing more for her in the future.
